Almost anything celebrities do has an audience somewhere, and thus it should come as no surprise that the world of social media has been sent into a complete meltdown by Drake getting a new haircut.

The rapper's new style was debuted for the first time this week as he stepped out for a run with Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns.

Drake, known to be a fan of the Toronto Raptors, who beat Durant's Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals a number of years ago, has forged a close relationship with a number of basketball stars, such is the interlocking nature of sport and popular music in the United States of America.

Drake's 'It's all a blur' tour continues

As part of his own professional career, Drake's 'It's all a blur' tour is underway and continuing across a number of venues.

However, the twitter account 'Through the Lens' has spotted the singer enjoying some free time with Durant, in which his brand-new haircut is on full display.

It is a look that can only be described as brave, especially for a male of a certain age, yet Drake somewhat pulls-off a double pom-pom esque haircut.

Coupled with a bright pink set of hair ties, Drake is keeping his wild afro tamed in such a way, leaving him what appear to be two big ear-muff shaped pieces of hair on either side of his head.

Whilst not something you could imagine either Tupac or Biggie Smalls attempting to get away with prior to the deaths, Drake is certainly no stranger to controversial looks.

His tour is continuing, whilst he is also known to be an avid sports fan and gambler, which leads him to socialize with a lot of athletes across the United States.

It remains to be seen whether this new haircut starts a trend either across the country, or just in the NBA.
