Ed Sheeran has been confirmed to perform at the BRIT Awards 2017.
He joins the likes of Robbie Williams, Little Mix, Emeli Sandé, The 1975, Bruno Mars and Skepta, who will also perform on the night. The ceremony will be hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Emma Willis.
BRIT Awards Chairman and Chairman of Sony Music UK & Ireland Jason Iley said: “We are delighted to announce that Ed Sheeran will be performing at this year’s BRIT Awards. Ed continues to be one of the most exciting, innovative artists in the world – constantly pushing boundaries with everything he does. This year’s exclusive performance will be a very special moment for the 37th BRIT Awards.”
Ed confirmed the news himself on Twitter this morning, by showing off his own cool Brits emoji.

Following his epic comeback in January, with singles ‘Shape of You’ and ‘Castle on the Hill’ still dominating the charts across the globe, we’re not at all surprised that Ed’s been added to the line up. There is no doubt that he is the man of the moment, with the world waiting with bated breath for the release of his highly anticipated third studio album ‘÷’ (divide) on March 3. He also recently announced his world tour, which sold out within minutes of going on sale.
Ed is no stranger to the Brits, having won four awards in the past and blessing us with performances in both 2012 and 2015. Known for his incredible live performances, we cannot wait to see what Ed will deliver this year.
The BRIT Awards will be broadcast live on ITV on Wednesday 22 February 2017 from The O2 Arena, London.
