Naden was also charged with the attempted murder of a police officer, Brad McFadden, from NSW Police's Tactical Operations Unit on December 7, 2011, when he evaded capture in bushland near the village of Nowendoc. in the NSW Northern Tablelands.

He spoke to detectives about the shooting and how he was watching officers through the scope of his rifle, deciding which police officer was going to die.

"I would have been aiming for his chest, his heart," naden told detectives.

"I was shootin' to kill."

DETECTIVES REVEAL HOW THEY CAUGHT FUGITIVE MALCOLM NADEN
In a documentary shown on Channel 7 last night, the chilling final moments of Naden's arrest and his interviewing by detectives were relived.

"Once you kill somebody, you can do it again," Naden calmly told detectives after his arrest.

"You just don't care."

Naden was sentenced to life in jail without parole in June this year.'

"(He) has made extraordinary threats against certain persons and made it clear his killing days are not over, and he will kill again," Justice Price said in sentencing.

Lateesha Nolan's body has never been found.

"The truth is that I did kill those girls," Naden told detectives.

The documentary was the 14th most watched television show last night, with more viewers than Arrow on Channel 9 (619,000) and Wonderland on Channel 10 (607,000) which at the same timeslot.

Nine Newsand Seven News were most watched TV programs last night, with ABC1's Gruen Planet the only other show to have over 1 million viewers.
